My inspiration comes from many places. Since my early days as an artist, my family has been a major influence on my work; a single unit of security within a world full of challenges. As the artist within me grew and matured, I have found other sources to stimulate my creativity.

My Story

I was born on the 5th of May 1952 in a small seaside town in Northern Lebanon called Kfarabida. At a very young age, I was interested in creating art. Whether on paper, canvas, walls or clothes I always wanted to create my own world and show it to everyone.

Around the age of 17 I started developing my technique and shaping my artistic views and ideas. Van Gogh, Monet and Rembrandt were a big inspiration and icons that I personally looked up to. At the age of 21, I graduated in economics from the Saint-Joseph University in Beirut but I knew my passion for art needed nurturing . After graduation, I moved to New York to focus on my painting and sculpting. During that period I attended a lot of classes in different art institutions including the Art Student League. In the mid 80's I started professionally exhibiting my work around the world: New York, Paris, Chicago, Louisville, Amsterdam, London, Beirut, Qatar, Dubai to name a few. In 2007, I pursed my education with an Executive MBA from the Lebanese Canadian University and UQAM Montreal then followed by a Management PhD.

Although I was leading a career in Banking for 30 years, my artistic passion and my thirst to create has never left me. In 2010 I built an small art museum with a culinary branch for artists to showcase their work called Mezzo Art Lounge. I built every stone in it, painted every wall and worked the details to make it my very own work of art.

Now, in 2018, I am focused again on painting and going back to my roots. This website is my way to communicate my art again to the world beyond Beirut. Also it gives the chance for art enthusiasts to acquire my work by directly contacting me on the "Get In Touch" link. The path continues...
